Hammer's species

The species Hammer's design is derived from was changed from camel to rat... while I thought he's a capybara. I checked if Perfect Works tells us the answer, but couldn't find anything. Maybe Tanaka explained it in an interview at some point, but I don't know. I did compare images of camels, rats, capybaras, and Hammer, and still think that his fur colour and thickness, head shape, eyes, ears, and nose all match a capybara pretty well, but maybe that's too subjective to be put on the wiki? I agree that he more closely resembles a capybara than a rat or camel, and if there were only one animal mentioned I'd think it should be that, but we could also just hedge our bets and say '...humanoid version of a capybara or rat'. Rtg142857 (talk) 07:47, 13 July 2022 (EDT)

Camel is what I saw in Perfect Works, although I didn't personally do the translation so it is possible the translator made a mistake. I'm fine with the change. Quiddity131 (talk)

Hmm yeah, the fan translation throws in the word "camel" out of nowhere. I only checked the Japanese version where there's no mention of a camel. Instead of "head halfway like a camel's" it says literally "warm/kind head". Correction: I'm an idiot and looked at the wrong section, but there's still no mention of a camel, and I have in fact no idea where any of that came from. Reggimato (talk) 19:36, 13 July 2022 (EDT)
