Established users are users who have been here for three months (90 days) and have at least a hundred (100) edits to their name. These users have likely made a notable contribution to the wiki, and as such deserve some extra permissions.
Users that are established do not have to have their edits patrolled by others. This is currently their only extra right. The logic is simple: The patrol feature is to help spot potentially bad edits, so once you've made a name for yourself, we shouldn't have to be too worried about you.
