Treasure

Treasures are a special type of collectibles in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. They are strange artifacts which no one on Alrest knows how to use. They are found inside salvaged treasure troves and sold at treasure shops. Some treasures must be collected to progress quests and treasures can be exchanged along with mechanical collectibles at item trading shops for gold and Boosters and dev points depending on the shop's nation.

Treasures are items and appliances from the civilization of the Land of Morytha which ended up in the Cloud Sea. They range from simple items such as Fleet-in-a-Bottle, which is many model ships from the old world inside a bottle, to appliances such as the Ancient Chalice, which appears to be a toilet. Some, such a Tortor, research the uses of these artifacts, though their research often yields little results.
