The title screen of Xenoblade Chronicles is set in an endless grass plain with the Monado at the center, much like the game's boxart but with the Mechonis not visible. Unlike other games' title screens, the day-night cycle is active, and will quickly progress through day, evening, night, and morning. Waiting out the entire cycle will activate attract mode, loading a map from a random list of options and performing a flythrough of various locations, before going back to the original scene. The track Main Theme plays while on the title screen.
In the Definitive Edition, completing the base game changes the default title screen to one based on the final cutscene. Completing Future Connected alters it slightly. The original scene is still available as one of the random loads.
