The Lone Watchman is a quest in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It is a DLC quest introduced in version 1.2.0 as part of the DLC Quest List - Distribution 1 DLC. It can be received from Maddock at Hardhaigh Dock, Lv. 2 in Hardhaigh Palace, Empire of Mor Ardain. Once the quest is completed, Merc Missions with better Merc Points reward will be available, starting with Lifeline to Temperantia, in the Merc Group.
Quest objectives[edit]
- Convince Irving at Bathein Watchtower in Mor Ardain.
- Talk to Irving at Bathein Watchtower in Mor Ardain.
- Report back to Maddock at Hardhaigh Dock, Lv. 2 in Mor Ardain.
- Go check on Irving at the Titan Weapon Dig Site in Temperantia.
- Check the area surrounding the Titan Weapon Dig Site in Temperantia.
- Scouting the field requires clearing a Clairvoyant Eye level 3 and Focus level 10 Field Skill check.
- Complete all three objectives:
- Save the soldiers by defeating the enemies (5) at the Titan Weapon Dig Site in Temperantia.
- Defeat Turbulent Keaton at the Titan Weapon Dig Site in Temperantia.
- Defeat Crafty Zofka at the Titan Weapon Dig Site in Temperantia.
- Report back to Maddock at the Ardainian Garrison in Temperantia.

Wasn't a monster or brigand in the land that would dare approach the capital while he was at his station here.

The Urayans assured us they did not desire war and that we were free to use any means necessary to stop the band.
Those tricksy Urayans... They basically shifted responsibility to us, whether the mercenaries succeed or fail.
At any rate, how did things go with Irving? Was he causing any trouble?
