3DS themes[edit]

There's been some discussion about whether the 3DS themes belong on the crossover article or the merchandise article. I don't think of them as a crossover; they don't cross over with another franchise like Smash, Project X Zone or even Soul Calibur. I think it's comparable to the New 3DS decals. Both are for decorating your system: One on the outside, one on the inside. I don't thenk we need to differenciate between physical and digital goodies. I'd like to hear some more opinions about this. Reggiamoto (talk) 18:43, 4 August 2021 (EDT)

I agree the 3DS themes are merchandise rather than crossovers. STM (t) 19:26, 4 August 2021 (EDT)

Making separate game articles[edit]

This is one of the oldest articles on the wiki, and back then we decided not to make articles for crossover games like Smash Bros., Project X Zone, Breath of the Wild and so on. I wasn't quite sure what our reasoning was, but it seems to be that we could just link to Smashwiki for Smash Bros info. However, this is only true for some games. There is no independent Project X Zone wiki we could link to. Perhaps it's time to make separate articles for them, like how basically all other NIWA wikis handle it? Personally, I really don't like that we have multiple galleries in separate sections of the same article. Splitting it up would eliminate that. Reggiamoto (talk) 20:38, 3 November 2021 (EDT)

It's difficult to visualize how some of the lesser games deserve their own page when right now they're just one sentence on this one. Maybe it'd be better to keep this as the primary page, and only split things out if they become unwieldy. STM (t) 23:02, 3 November 2021 (EDT)
I agree, we shouldn't move the one-liners to their own articles yet. But isn't the Smash Bros. section large enough already? If so, should we make separate articles for Smash 4 and Ultimate? If we decide to just make a general "Super Smash Bros. series" for all games, I think we could also already make a "Project X Zone series". Reggiamoto (talk) 19:34, 4 November 2021 (EDT)
Over a year old but I'd be down to help if we do make pages for the larger crossovers --Twiilit (talk) 20:21, 5 April 2023 (EDT)
I'd say it makes sense to separate things out if necessary — there's plenty to expand upon for, say, the aforementioned Project X Zone. Rtg142857 (talk) 04:50, 6 April 2023 (EDT)
