Unofficial translation[edit]

A parade crosses the dead center of my heart
You come, clicking your heels

A melody, just earned, to an empty plaza
Lighting a rose-colored lamp and moving on

Lively dreams soon slip through your two hands
And confetti dances up in a tiny wind

Rather than tears of farewell, try carefully placing
The excitement of meeting inside your heart

The syncopation you left behind in your footprints
Continues on through the morning mist

In a town somewhere, in someone's dreams
It's gone to light a warm lamp

Rather than the sadness of farewells, the joy of meeting
Piles up bit by bit, facing the light

A staircase rises in spirals to the sky
And, piercing the red rainclouds, becomes a rainbow

No matter where you are, though you may be in a distant land
If you listen hard, you can hear it... that song
