For many years we have followed without question the path the Praetor has decreed for us.
But all these refugees... I mean, it's not the welcoming of the refugees itself that I object to, exactly.

But the camp where they all currently reside, it used to be a beautiful plaza with fountains, and, well look at it now.
If only there were more land in Indol, we might be able to at least build them proper houses to live in...

Chapter 6

I was just remembering how kindly Lady Fan used to treat all the refugees...
I cannot understand how anyone could bring themselves to take the life of such a kind and noble soul.
It feels as though the Indol I know and love is gradually slipping away... It scares me a little.

Since Lady Fan passed away, I feel the people have grown less accepting of the refugees.

Perhaps it is only human nature. When we feel sadness or frustration, we lash out at the nearest targets.
I only hope that the people of Indol can hold on to the ideals of harmony and forgiveness that define this nation.
