Relics are elements of the overworld in Future Redeemed. They are treasure chests which can be opened by walking up to them and pressing A, similarly to containers. Upon being opened, they drop G and items. These items often include difficult-to-acquire accessories such as Battle/Strategy/Tactics Manuals, and always contain either an Unlock Kit or a Lessons in Unity item.
Relics each take the appearance of a treasure chest from Xenoblade Chronicles or a white-and-gold treasure trove from Xenoblade Chronicles 2. When one is opened, Secret Area Discovered from the music of Xenoblade Chronicles plays.
Opening relics is part of the Exploration Affinity Goal: opening all relics in a region grants Affinity Points. The Treasure Sensor upgrade for the X-Reader enables a ping when an unopened relic is nearby.
