Primera Black is a character from Xenogears. She is the younger sister of Billy Lee Black.
Appearance and Personality[edit]
Primera is a young girl with short gray hair and brown eyes.
Primera is a quiet girl who has not spoken since the traumatic death of her mother. Although she doesn't talk, she is an expressive girl who gravitates towards good people. She cares deeply for her older brother and father.
Story arc[edit]
Primera is the daughter of Jessie and Racquel, and younger sister to Billy. She is 7 years old. At the age of 3, her home was attacked by Wels. While she hid behind a clock with her brother, her mother was killed. As a result of the trauma she lost the ability to speak. As her father Jessie had disappeared a year earlier, she and her brother were essentially orphans. Due to the influence of Bishop Stone, Primera was taken care of by an Ethos facility while her brother trained to become an Etone. 3 years later, when she was 6, Billy established an Orphanage and she stayed there with him. Eventually Jessie returns, although his appearance and personality have changed. While Billy refuses to admit that he is their father, Primera became very attached to him.
Primera is first encountered on the Thames, where she is being harassed by a pair of men. The party members save her and Jessie arrives soon after. As thanks for helping her out, Billy permits the party access to the infirmary at the Ethos Headquarters to treat Fei. Billy brings her back to the Orphanage following this until he is provided a mission by Bishop Stone to investigate a transport ship. Once he joins the party Primera stays on the Yggdrasil, holding a piece of paper that provides instructions on how to use Billy's guns. After Stone is killed, Primera says her first word in many years, "Papa".
