Pittman is an NPC in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. He can be found anytime at the Goldmouth Return Port in Goldmouth, Argentum Trade Guild.
Story Arc[edit]
During chapter 4, his ship is stolen by Rhys to flee from the party and return to Gormott. After Rex brings Rhys and his friends back to Goldmouth, suggesting to make them salvagers to repay their debt, he reluctantly forgives them and accepts to help them with Garram.
Lore[edit]
- Pittman is an Ardainian salvager.
- While at first wary of Rhys and his friends, he warms up to them by the end of the game. He even ends up getting inspired by their determination.

Chapter 7[edit]
After the party learns about the third Aegis sword from Eulogimenos

Rhys and the others are undergoing serious training right now.
Watching them give it all they have's got me all fired up.
Don't get me wrong, it's not that I like seeing them suffer.
Seeing them overcome their difficulties, improving their salvager skills… That's the kind of thing that really inspires me.
I want to keep pushing them, and see how far they can go.

I think Rhys and his pals will turn out to be fine salvagers, just like you Rex.
Trust me, I've seen a lot of salvagers in my time, and these guys have potential.
I've only been letting them use normal cylinders, and they still managed to haul in some Titan Quartz.
That right there shows they've got the salvager sense.
They are always a bit worse for wear, though, thanks to all the angry Krabble and Lysaat they drag along with them.
