Nopon Coin (XC3)

Nopon Coins (ノポンコイン) are key items in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. They are a special currency available in two varieties: Nopon Coin (Silver) and Nopon Coin (Gold). They have a variety of gameplay uses. Up to 99 of each coin type can be held at a time.

Sources

Nopon Coins are obtainable several different ways:

• Defeating Unique monsters for the first time
• Dropped by Unique Monsters at random upon defeat or using Burst
• Completing Quests or Collectopaedia Cards for the first time
• Opening Containers or Supply Drops
• Completing Skirmishes that reward them for the first time
• Exchanging Red Noponstone and Blue Noponstone at the Prize X-change Red and Prize X-change Blue respectively in the Land of Challenge

Uses

• Nopon Coin X-change: Silver and Gold Nopon Coins can be exchanged for Accessories at the Nopon Coin X-Change. Additionally, in Version 2.2.0 Nopon Seven-Star Medal can be exchanged for 77 Gold Nopon Coins.
• Collectopaedia: Silver Nopon Coins can be used to complete most Collectopaedia Card requests without the required items, with the exception of Nopon Caravan NPCs
• Classes: Silver Nopon Coins can be used to level up a character's Class Rank.
• Cooking: Silver Nopon Coins can be used to cook recipes without required ingredients.
• Gem Crafting: Gold Nopon Coins can be used to craft Gems without required items.
