Nopon Coin (Silver) (or Silver Nopon Coins) are a key item in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. They are the more common of the two types of Nopon Coin.

Silver Nopon Coins can be obtained via the following methods:

Unique monsters drop them upon defeat or when being inflicted with Burst.
Quests and Collectopaedia Cards may grant them upon completion.
Containers and Supply Drops may contain them.
Some Skirmishes grant Silver Nopon Coins as a reward for one or both sides.
They can be purchased for Red Noponstone and Blue Noponstone at the relevant exchanges in the Land of Challenge.
They can be randomly obtained using amiibos, for an explanation about the amiibo reward probabilities see amiibo § Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

Various items can be purchased using them at the Nopon Coin X-change.
Collectopaedia Cards not from the Nopon Caravans can be completed without the otherwise-required items using Silver Nopon Coins.
Silver Nopon Coins can be used in lieu of CP to rank up Classes.
Silver Nopon Coins can be used to cook meals without the required ingredients.
