Insurgent Investigations is a quest in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It can be received from Stulc in Hardhaigh Palace (location) in Hardhaigh Palace, Empire of Mor Ardain, after beginning Chapter 6 and completing We Meet Again.
Quest objectives[edit]
- Investigate the Brionac base inside the Mine No. 2 Entrance in Mor Ardain.
- Defeat the Brionac rebels (3) attacking you at Mine No. 2 Entrance in Mor Ardain.
- Defeat the Brionac rebels (4) attacking you at Mine No. 2 Entrance in Mor Ardain.
- Brionac Grynd, Brionac Aliente and two Brionac Psychis must be defeated.
- Return to Senator Stulc at Hardhaigh Palace in Mor Ardain.
- Complete all three objectives:
- Defeat Rebel Wiggins at Ayvill Shopping District in Mor Ardain.
- Main article: Defeat Wiggins
- Defeat Turncoat Bhianc by the old factory in Mor Ardain.[1]
- Main article: Defeat Bhianc
- Defeat Mutineer Arrodh by the Cargo Transportation Zone in Mor Ardain.
- Main article: Defeat Arrodh
- Report back to Senator Stulc at Hardhaigh Palace in Mor Ardain.
- Get information about Akatsuki as part of a Merc Mission.
- The mission Find Akatsuki must be completed to obtain the info item Akatsuki's Hideout.
- Investigate near the Bellyfull Canteen in Mor Ardain.
- Defeat Akatsuki and his Driver.
- The Proof of Akatsuki's Fall will be collected after their defeat.
- Report back to Senator Stulc at Hardhaigh Palace in Mor Ardain.

The word "leaders" makes me suspect that Akatsuki's Driver may be involved.

During the battle gauntlet at Mine No. 2 Entrance, it is possible to climb the left tower's ladder and see Akatsuki and Ringan, though they cannot be interacted with.
