Hugo Ardanach (ユーゴ・エル・スペルビア) is character in Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna ~ The Golden Country. He is the Emperor of Mor Ardain and Brighid's and Aegaeon's Driver.

Lore

• At some point during his childhood, Hugo stayed in the Kingdom of Torna in Aureus Palace. While staying there, an Aspar got into his bedroom, under his pillow, which was slain by Addam.
  • This event kickstarted their friendship, though Hugo also developed a fear of Aspar as a result.
  • The Aspar had a deadly poison on its fangs, making it likely that it was planted in Hugo's bedroom in an attempt to assassinate him.

• In Japanese, Hugo is voiced by Akira Ishida, who also voices Niall in Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
  • Along with Hugo's Japanese voice actor, his English voice actor, Daniel Buckley, also voices Niall.
• Hugo wields a sword and shield, both of which appear at the center of the Empire of Mor Ardain's national emblem.
• Hugo, along with Doug from Xenoblade Chronicles X, is one of the few playable characters in the Xenoblade series that shares a name with a Unique Monster: Tattooed Hugo.
