|
Gormotti are a species in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna ~ The Golden Country that live on the Titan Gormott. They are human-like with feline features. Due to their home Titan's heavily forested environment, they live with and respect nature. They were annexed by the Ardainians and have since had to live under their rule. Their biggest city is Torigoth.
Appearance[edit]
Being human-like, Gormotti are bipedal though they also possess feline characteristics, the most notable of which is their cat ears. Another of their characteristics is their long nails, looking almost like claws. They also have what appears to be fur along their forearms and the lower part of their legs.

History[edit]
The Gormotti most likely originated from and evolved on Gormott, developing feline features to better fit the wild environment. At some point, they gathered together and created communities, headed by a Chief. Around fifty years before Pyra's awakening, the Empire of Mor Ardain waged war on Gormott and annexed it. Putting it under their rule, the nation became the Gormott Province, a province of the Ardainian Empire. A Consul was put in place to administrate the nation. Lingering resentment between Gormotti and Ardainians is still present, though a part of the population has adapted to the change and do not have animosity towards the Empire anymore.
