Gaspar is a character from Xenogears. He is one of the 3 sages of Shevat and is the grandfather of Yui Uzuki.

Gaspar is an old man with black eyes, white beard and long nose.

Story arc

Gaspar is a master of martial arts and was a leader of the front lines during Shevat's war against Solaris 500 years go. Through nanotechnology, he had a greatly expanded lifespan. He had his first son at the age of 560 and through him became the grandfather of Yui Uzuki, Citan's wife. During one of Solaris' invasions of Shevat, he fought with Citan, in a battle that ended up as a draw. Through Citan's love for Yui, the two would get along in the future, although would periodically debate with each other. As part of these debates Citan became conscious of his motives in battle and decided to stop using his sword. He instead trained in martial arts with Gaspar. Gaspar also trained Fei's father, Khan Wong.

During the game he was hiding on the surface, but eventually returns to Shevat in order to remove the physical limiters implanted in the party members.
