Fiona (マシロ, Mashiro), nicknamed Fifi (シロちゃん, Shiro-chan) by her friends, is a Hero in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. She is the commander of Colony Mu. She is also called Proudbanner Fiona.

Appearance and personality

Fiona is a young girl with purple hair tied in a bun, with small red horns on her forehead, and brown eyes. Fiona wears a white button up shirt with teal shoulder pads and accents of the same color; she wears a small red armband on her left arm, teal shorts white stockings, black socks, and white shoes with teal accents. Her term mark is located on the back of her neck.

Fiona uses her flag, known as the War Standard, to motivate her friends and people from Colony Mu. She is very caring and affectionate with her Colony friends, often being called by them "Fifi". Her personality can be described as calm, friendly and kind.

Story arc

Transparent Dreams

The party finds Fiona unconscious at Conchrock Beach. After regaining consciousness, Fiona wants to help her friends, promising that she'll keep them safe, but is still injured. Eunie then performs a Group Heal Art, healing her injuries. After recovering Fiona reveals that there was a Kevesi raid on her colony, before introducing herself as the commander of Colony Mu. She then requests the party to help her friends.

While looking for her friends, the party and Fiona came across husks of some of her friends that were killed, prompting Fiona to sob. Noah and Mio then sent off the husks.

The party then rendezvous with the colony's lieutenant, Irma and soldiers under attack by Kevesi soldiers. With the party's help they were able to repel them.

After fending off the Kevesi soldiers, Fiona then request the party to destroy the Colony's Flame Clock and defeat its Consul, but there was a problem: The Ferronis and Flame Clock is fake. The party then joins Fiona and Irma at Bed of Woes and Wishes, grieving the fallen before being tickled by her friends before calling a meeting at Colony Mu Hidden Coast. After the meeting, the party gathered information on where to find the real Flame Clock, before discussing the contents regarding on find the Clock.

When it turns out that Irma was in fact, Consul I in disguise, she was heartbroken by the revelations. When Lanz tries to attack her, Fiona stops him from killing her I shoots her and Lanz. I demands Fiona to stand up and fight, Fiona says that she wants to fight by her side if it what's making her sad. Disappointed, I reveals that she's the one who killed her friends before transforming in her Moebius form but is defeated by the party.

As I is dying, Fiona apologizes to her for failing to save her. After I expires, Fiona wails as the real Ferronis and Flame Clock is revealed. Fiona vows to never forgive I for what she did, but she wouldn't be what she is today if she hadn't met her. Tallow then counsels her to talk to him if she's stressed, even allowing her to call him a "Tirkinhead". Fiona then decides to join the party as a Hero to learn more about Moebius as Noah and Mio destroys the Flame Clock.

Other appearances

Fiona is required to be in the party for the Quests, Unease, To Face Forward.

Fiona can be among the recruited Heroes to aid the party in the final battle against Z, declaring that she'll fight with the party as she is summoned. After Z's defeat, Fiona can be seen on the Agnian side as Aionios splits back into the two worlds it was created from.

• After the previous Commander's death, Fiona asked Consul I to change the way Colony Mu fought, making it more peaceful, I refused.
