Ether miasmas are phenomena in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Torna ~ The Golden Country. They are exhaust gas emitted by Titans that can be dispersed using certain Blade's powers.

In other words, yes we know it's unfinished; we just didn't want to leave it blank in the meantime. You can help complete it.

In Xenoblade Chronicles 2[edit]

Ether miasmas are introduced by Vandham in a cutscene in Uraya, where he demonstrates Roc's ability to disperse them. Only one other ether miasma appears during the main game, in Boulderbore Gate in Gormott, where Roc's Miasma Dispersal Field Skill is required in order to progress.

In Torna ~ The Golden Country[edit]

Ether miasmas are points of interest that can be found around both the Kingdom of Torna and Gormott. They can be dispersed using Haze's and Mythra's powers, leaving a special Collection point, miasma residue, in its place. Every miasma residue can yield four different collectibles, one of which will be a monster drop. The game's first Main Story Quest, What Bars the Way, acts as a tutorial for ether miasmas.

Ether miasmas will reappear during New Game Plus, meaning that they must be dispersed again to be able to collect from miasma residues again.

List of ether miasmas[edit]

The following is a list of ether miasmas sorted by their location, the Field Skills needed to disperse them and the items that can be found in the resulting collection point. All four of the collectibles found in these collection points have the same chance to drop.
