Ether (XC2)
- For other articles titled "Ether", see Ether (disambiguation).
Ether is a stat in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Torna ~ The Golden Country. It affects the amount of damage a party member or enemy deals with ether-based attacks in combat. It is generally a property of Drivers and enemies.
Party member ether can be increased by levelling up, equipping accessories that increase ether, using Blades that passively increase ether, or unlocking Driver Skills that increase ether. Enemy ether can be modified by changing the difficulty settings (the Enemy Attack Power setting in Custom difficulty). Many enemies also increase their ether upon enraging.
In the case of Drivers, the Driver's ether is added to the auto-attack stat of their Blade before being multiplied onto the rest of the damage formula; therefore, if the auto-attack stat significantly exceeds the ether (as is common in lategame and postgame), boosting ether is less effective than most other factors in terms of final damage numbers. In the case of non-Drivers (including most enemies), the ether stat functions as an independent multiplier instead. See Damage (XC2)#Damage formula for details.
Ether values[edit]
Each character's ether increases by the same amount (ignoring rounding effects) each level up.
