E.S. Reuben is a playable E.S. unit that appears in the Xenosaga series. It is primarily used by Jin.
Description[edit]
Reuben is an E.S. specifically customized for Jin's use. Its focus is on close-range combat and as such it is equipped with up to two swords. It has a design emphasizing higher dimensional battle mobility with light armor and no shield. Due to Jin's unique battling style of combining offense and defense with his swords, this doesn't cause problems.
Story[edit]
A Missing Year[edit]
Jin borrows the prototype of E.S. Reuben from the Contact Subcommittee's lab to meet with Scientia so he can rescue Shion and Almadel from Ars Nova. At some point between his return from Ars Nova and Episode III, Jin has Reuben modified to fit his style of combat.
Episode III[edit]
Jin uses Reuben as his E.S. during Episode III, with Canaan acting as the sole co-pilot. It loses its Vessel of Anima at the Underground Ruins and is later destroyed along with the other E.S. by Joshua when Zarathustra goes out of control with its left arm being assimilated into Joshua.

Jin's unit. Customized for Jin's use. Specially made for close-range combat, it is equipped with two real swords. Its design emphasizes higher-dimensional battle mobility; as a result, its armor is light and it has no shield equipment. However, this is covered by Jin's unique battle style, which combines offense and defense using his swords.
