Appearances Xenoblade Chronicles 2

Corinne is a character in Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

Appearance and personality[edit]

Corinne is an older, grey-haired, dark-skinned woman who wears a teal necklace, a brown dress, and sandals.

She is a kind, gentle woman who has a strong emotional connection to Rex, whom she pities greatly for being an orphan.

Story arc[edit]

Corinne is the woman who raised Rex, in addition to many other orphans who ended up on Fonsett Island (when meeting her, Tora mistakenly thinks that they are all her biological children, despite none of them looking anything like her). The party first meets her in Chapter 5 when arriving in Fonsett en route to Indol. Corinne converses with Pyra after making food for the party, first teasing and successfully flustering her about a possible romantic relationship with Rex. They then speak outside her house, where Corinne tells Pyra of Rex's origin story; he was brought to Fonsett when he was two years old by his mother, who died of exhaustion after arriving in the village, and his father, who died a short distance away from it. Corinne states that Rex has suffered enough loss for one life, and that his parents' deaths inspired him to become a salvager so he could find a way to Elysium. She tells Pyra that she believes Rex still misses his mother a little, and that Pyra reminds Corinne of her; distraught, Pyra comments that perhaps, it isn't good for her to be with Rex despite her fondness for him, as her presence will likely cause him yet more suffering. As she sends the party off, Corinne tells Pyra that she isn't alone anymore, and that she can rely on Rex.
