Consul V is an antagonist in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. He is a member of the Consuls and appears during Side Story: Taion, as well as briefly in flashbacks in Side Story: Noah and A Deep-Seated Scar.

Appearance and personality[edit]

As with most of the Consuls, V wears the standard red armor and black cape. V also wears a crested helmet with breather tube-like decorations on his face. In his Moebius form, V takes the form of a thin humanoid monster with a crested crowned head, a ring around his waist, and an infinity symbol positioned on his solar plexus.

Story Arc[edit]

Main story[edit]

V is present at Origin in the Amphitheater where he is seen playing chess with R whilst observing a battle. He mocks the soldiers and ends up winning while N and Z look on repulsed.

Side Story: Noah[edit]

V is seen in a flashback in Side Story: Noah. Before Homecoming ceremonies were invented, V would execute soldiers who reached the end of their tenth term with his Blade. He is seen being stopped by M so Crys could send off a soldier in the first Homecoming.

A Deep-Seated Scar[edit]

V is briefly seen in a flashback in a Deep-Seated Scar, where he is seen executing a previous incarnation of Ashera.

Side Story: Taion[edit]

V is the main antagonist of Side Story: Taion. V detects a signal from the Flame Clock of the Lost Colony and decides to invade it with his own colony, V's Colony. The party repair the Lost Colony's Ferronis to trick V into thinking they are fighting back. He takes the bait, allowing the party to attack from behind. Despite being given a chance to escape, he refuses the offer and fights the party. He is ultimately defeated and apologizes to Z in his final moments.
