The Cloudkeep is a location in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
Story[edit]
The real Queen of Agnus, Nia sleeps there for the duration of the story until the party acquires the key to the keep to wake her up. As she wakes up though, she is attacked by D and J which the former shoots her in with one of his spears, seemingly killing her.
As the party fights off the duo, they manage to reason with Joran, only for D to forcibly Interlink with him. D then explains his origin and sadistic hobby of collecting severed heads from his enemies, in which he will do the same to the party after he kills them.
Despite his best efforts D is defeated, refusing to accept defeat, he demands Joran to give him more power as he claims that he's holding him back. Joran, had enough of being looked down on, overloads D with power in addition to black fog forming around him, due to Interlinking for too long. Horrified, D demands Joran to cancel the Interlink, but he refuses and decides to throw himself and D off the Cloudkeep, sacrificing himself to kill D once and for all.
The party then return to the presumed dead Queen, despairing. But due to her nature as a Blade, she quickly heals from the attack and regains consciousness. After waking, Nia explains the origins of Aionios, Z and Ouroboros.
The party later return to the Cloudkeep to get the piece of Origin Metal from Nia to create the Bravery as a means of reaching Origin.
After Z's defeat, Nia releases Poppi from storage who then looks at a photo of the party from Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
In the post-game, the party can return here to recruit Nia as a Hero.
