Chat

Chats are a game mechanic in Torna ~ The Golden Country where the party will react to recent events, sometimes giving pointers on how to proceed forward in the story.

Mechanics

Chats are unlocked during story progress, after Jin and Lora meet Mikhail. They can be viewed while making camp at campsites, by selecting the chat icon, symbolized by a speech bubble. A yellow "!" shows whether there are any new chats available. Otherwise, selecting the chat option while no new chats are available will play back the last viewed chat.

List of chats

A list of all chats that can be viewed throughout the story. Chats are ordered by chronological order, with each headers being the story point they can be viewed at. If multiple chats can be viewed during said story point, they will be numbered, with chat number 1 being the first one to be available chronologically.

While Lora, Jin and Mikhail make camp for the first time

Chat 1

Characters: Jin and Lora.
This chat, unlike every other ones in the game, will never expire, allowing it to be viewed at any time in the story, though it can only be viewed once.

Lora

Jin

I'm only trying to draw out your full power, Jin, you know that.

Jin

Blades protect their Drivers in a fight. It's the natural order of things.
Especially since we don't need to worry about being wounded, as long as the Core Crystal stays intact.

The Aegis needed to be stopped. I wasn't about to shy away from the task.
Stopping Malos is just as much a service to Mor Ardain as it is to Torna.

Did you ever imagine, when we ran into each other in Feltley, that we'd end up here?

No, I can't say that I did... But don't worry about it.
I feel like defeating him is my destiny too.
