Bearing Her Soul is a Blade Quest in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It can be received from Kiara during nighttime at Tretl Windmill Plaza in Torigoth, Gormott Province, after viewing Ursula's Heart-to-Heart, Not Quite Comfortable Yet and after completing Vandham's Last Wish, provided Nia, Tora, Pyra and Ursula are in the party. Starting the quest will unlock Ursula's second key affinity reward while finishing the quest will unlock her fifth key affinity reward.
Quest objectives[edit]
- Talk to Tipitapi in Rumbletum Canteen in Argentum.
- Raise all vocal, looks and soul levels to two or more by taking the lessons offered in the mercenary missions.
- Report to Tipitapi in Rumbletum Canteen in Argentum.
- Talk to Ursula at Lemour Inn in Argentum.
- Talk to Tipitapi in Rumbletum Canteen in Argentum.
- Raise all vocal, looks and soul levels to four or more by taking the lessons offered in the Merc Missions.
- Report to Tipitapi in Rumbletum Canteen in Argentum.
- Talk to Ursula at Mymoma Playhouse in Uraya.
- Get Champ's Churros (10) at Fonsa Myma's Entertainment District in Uraya.
- Give the Champ's Churros to Ursula at Mymoma Playhouse in Uraya.
- Talk to Tipitapi at Mymoma Playhouse in Uraya.
- Take part in singing activities from the mercenary missions and collect at least 5,000 fans.
- Report to Tipitapi at Mymoma Playhouse in Uraya.
- Talk to Ursula at Jakolo's Inn in Mor Ardain.
- Talk to Kiara at Abble's Fountain in Gormott Province.
- Take Kiara to join Ursula at Nharil Central Plaza in Mor Ardain.
Vocal, looks and soul levels[edit]
During the quest, Ursula's skills as a performer, represented by vocal, looks and soul, will have to be leveled up. To this end, Ursula must be sent on specific "Lesson" Merc Missions which reward stamps of the specific skill the lesson focuses on. As an example, Soul Lesson 1 will reward a Soul Stamp, but no Vocal or Looks Stamp. After receiving a set amount of stamps in a skill, it will level up, granting higher level lesson missions and possibly unlocking event Merc Missions. Some of the latter can also yield stamps for all three skills.
Vocal, looks and soul levels also increase the number of Ursula's fans. As such, the level of all three skills are added together to then multiply the base amounts of fans gained through lesson and event Merc Missions.
The amount of stamps required to level a skill is the same for all three skills:

Fans[edit]
As the quest progresses, Ursula will gain fans. To finish the quest, Ursula will need to have gained a total of 5,000 fans. Fans are gained the first time a lesson or event Merc Mission is completed, with repeated completion of the former having no effect on the number of fans. Lesson missions always reward 3 fans while event missions can reward either 12 or 16 fans depending on the mission.
The number of fans gained through Merc Missions is then multiplied by Ursula's vocal, looks and soul levels, added together, to give the total number of her fans. If event Merc Missions that give 12 fans are called minor events and missions that give 16 fans are called major events, the formula is:
Number of fans = (number of lessons x 3 + number of minor events x 12 + number of major events x 16) x (vocal level + looks level + soul level)
