Antitype
The Antitype as seen in Xenogears is the name given to the various incarnations of Elly.

10,000 years before the events of the game, the Antitype was created when Abel made contact with the Wave Existence within the Zohar and in response, Kadomony created the Mother of Humanity using a "mother's will". When the Eldridge crashed on a deserted planet, the Mother was overtaken by System Hawwa, creating the first Miang. Due to the mother's will remaining in her, she created two duplicates of herself, one with her original programming and the mother's will, Elhaym, and one with the System Hawwa programming, Miang (000). She would then return to Kadomony to rest eternally. Three more Antitypes are seen during the game, all named Elhaym including one, who was alive 4,000 years ago during the Zeboim era, Sophia, who was alive 500 years ago during the war between Solaris and the surface, and the Elly in the present day. A common theme of the Antitype is she would often sacrifice herself, telling an incarnation of the Contact to live before dying.
