Chapter 4[edit]

Not much to see past here. It's all wasteland and power plants.
You'll want to watch out for monsters, though.
We fend off the monsters out there to stop them getting into the city. They're no walk in the park.
Even with our advanced Ardainian steam rifles, they don't go down easily.

You must be the Drivers whom Special Inquisitor Mòrag spoke of.
Sorry to disappoint, but I'm not aware of any suspicious goods passing through here in the past few days.
All the goods I've seen go through have been completely ordinary. Though we haven't been inspecting all that closely.
What we have been on the lookout for is that mechanical Blade.
That's why we found her so quickly that night. Though she wound up giving us a thrashing.

To reach the factory, you'll want to head down a side path on the left, through the Old Industrial District.
The factory and that whole district have been out of use for a long time, so they may be infested with monsters.

I think the most important military innovation Mor Ardain has produced to date is the steam rifle.
Apparently they were inspired by, and to an extent based upon, certain long-range weapons used by Blades.
But whatever their origins, they allow almost anyone to hold their own in combat, even if they're not a Driver.
The ability to attack from a distance is hugely helpful, too. It helps us avoid the risks of getting too close to monsters.

As far as our Imperial Army duties here go, there's been nothing out of the ordinary.
I hear things have been pretty hectic down at Port Anangham, though.
Only things trying to get into the capital from this side have been the usual monsters.
Funny how violent monsters that can't be reasoned with are actually the easier threat to be facing nowadays.
